The beautiful Provencal villa is situated in the heart of the Provence, just outside the medieval village of Chateaudouble and about 30 minutes from the Cote d'Azur beaches. The spectacular unspoilt views look straight across the Gorge de Chateaudouble and the hills far beyond. The house has 3/4 acre of terraces with olive and fig trees. Take a dip in the heated pool or just relax in the hammock and listen to the chirping of the crickets.
This beautifully furbished Provencal house sleeps 8 persons in 4 bedrooms with room for babies too.
Chateaudouble village (a "village Fleuri") is a short stroll away where you will find 2 restaurants both with terraces overlooking the magnificent gorge and a bar where they do BBQ's in the height of the summer. There is also a boulangerie, get there early for the fresh croissants and baguettes, a post office, the village Marie, little village school, creche, Tourist Information Centre.
If relaxing by the pool is not enough for you, there are many sites and villages to visit most of which are all within a 30 minute drive. To name a few; Gorge du Verdon, Lac St Croix, Bargemon, Tourtour, Figaniere, Frejus, Le Castellet, Grotte de Saint Cezaiare or just the Chateaudouble cheese farm at the bottom of the village. If you wanted to go a bit further afield but still within an hour, avoid the traffic and catch the ferry to St Tropez, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and the island of Porquerolles is a hidden gem.
There are of course many vineyards to visit and also many cycle routes in the area (I wouldn't recommend combining the two!) and you can hire bikes in many villages.

We are a family of 5 from a North Yorkshire spa town. We have both always been fanatic lovers of France having been visiting since childhood. We wanted our children to enjoy the same passion that has evolved in us.

Delicious and Fresh Home Style Catering in Provence
It is over 12 years since I made the move from the UK to the beautiful Var region of Provence with my family and I haven’t looked back! As a cook for whom taste comes above all else, I am lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world with such wonderful opportunities for creating and making excellent quality, fresh food, inspired by the finest and most colourful ingredients grown and produced locally in the valleys and hills around.
I have been lucky that, purely through recommendations and word-of-mouth, my work has taken me all over Europe, onto private yachts in Monaco and Cannes, to huge and yet intimate weddings. I have worked as a private chef for some fabulous people from politicians to A-list Hollywood stars and catered events on a large scale but I am just as happy popping by to create a simple, birthday lunch or delivering a dinner for you to heat and eat at home.
Whatever the occasion, I love working closely with my clients making each event special for them and every dish reflects my love of cooking and the full flavours and colours of Provence and the world beyond.In the content of the site you will see some sample menus but please do contact me if you have any dietary requirements or special requests. I am an experienced Vegetarian and Gluten Free cook.
